Jane Blume Awarded Re-Certification as Management Consultant (CMC® Mark)
Albuquerque, NM. The Institute of Management Consultants USA, a national professional association serving the management consulting profession, has awarded Jane Blume, owner of the public relations firm Desert Sky Communications, re-certification as a management consultant (the CMC® mark).
IMC USA’s re-certification requirements include participation in educational programs, an active consulting practice, outreach activities, and demonstrated knowledge of the association’s code of ethics.
The CMC designation is normally awarded to those select consultants who have demonstrated a history of substantive results for clients, adherence to IMC USA’s canon of ethics, and professional practice management. Less than 1% of all consultants have achieved this recognition.
In addition to IMC USA, Blume is also a member of the The Association for Women in Communications, National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce and Albuquerque Independent Business Alliance.

Jane Blume elected President of the Association for Women in Communications/New Mexico
May 16, 2007 - Albuquerque, NM. Jane Blume CMC, owner and principal of the public relations firm Desert Sky Communications, has been elected president of the Board of the New Mexico Chapter of The Association for Women in Communications (AWC’s) for 2007-08. She took over the reins at AWC’s end-of-year banquet and new-officer installation, held on May 16 at Tanoan Country Club.
This is the second time that Blume has assumed the presidency of the Chapter; her first term was in 1992-93.
Blume is the recent winner of the Small Business Administration’s 2007 Home-Based Business Champion Award. She was nominated by the Northern New Mexico Chapter of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), and received her award at the Small Business Week celebration luncheon on April 27 at the Marriott Pyramid North.
Blume is also Secretary-Treasurer of the New Mexico Chapter of the Institute for Management Consultants USA/New Mexico, and Board member and Chair of the Public Relations & Awards Committee for NAWBO/Northern New Mexico.

Blume, who was nominated by the Northern New Mexico Chapter of NAWBO (National Association of Women Business Owners), received her award at the Small Business Week celebration luncheon on Friday, April 27 at the Marriott Pyramid North. The Week recognizes and honors small businesses and individuals who help these businesses grow and thrive.
